I have this question too (0)
Being "bx", both cameras feature the alarm alerts listed above. The T420bx however has a smaller, lower temperature range of4°F to 662°F (-20°C to 350°C), compared to the T440bx''s-4°F to 1202°F (-20°C to 650°C). The T420bx also has only 4x zoom and does not feature image sketching, measurement presets, and profile measurement analysis.

What does the "bx"; stand for on the T440bx? How is this different than the standard T-Series?
TheFLIR T440bx features a temperature range of -4°F to 1202°F (-20°C to 650°C), compared to the standard T440''s -4°F to 2192°F (-20°C to 1200°C). However, FLIR "bx" cameras do havea dew point alarm, humidity alarm, and insulation alarm built-in. These are helpful in building inspection applications. The dew point alert shows that there is condensation forming. The insulation alert indicates the lack of insulation in a particular spot.
